DVD decoders

I can't play DVD's on my PC when i used to be able to it says I don't have a dvd decoder what are they and where do i get one that works with windows media player.

I think any codec pack should have DVD decoders, if your dvds are protected so you can not copy them to hard drive then try dvd shrink

gah i had this problem, i was looking for a dvd decoder for ages then when i found some they were all demos and i downloaded one and it stopped 5 mins into the dvd telling me my trial period was up :( pile o crap realy if u have windows and a dvd drive u should be able to play dvds without ny downloads....

Have you tried VLC player?

It should be able to play any DVD or other video file, and it's free
