basic help with copying images needed.

Postby godfather on Fri Sep 08, 2006 7:10 am

I am making a decal sheet so I would like to edit an image in Photoshop and then make multiple copies of different sizes of the image on one sheet so basically filling the sheet with small images. I do not know how to do this. I am a novice, I do not have a clue about most anything in the program, so please make instruction simple

I don't know if you image is square sized or what so ever, but if it is:

1.Take out the Rectangular Marque Tool (shortcutkey: M)
Make a selection of the image by dragging it over your image while right-clicking/holding.

2. Press Ctrl + x to cut the image out, now press Ctrl + v to paste the image.

3. (If the image isn't selected, select it with the Rectangular Marque Tool again).
Press Ctrl + t to transform your image. (Hold down shift and draq one of the corners to increase/decrease the size.

4. Press ctrl + v again to paste the image again. Select it, use Ctrl + t to transform.

5. Same as 4, untill you've fileld out your whole image.

6. If you need your "decal sheet" to be a fixed size, hit: ctrl + n and enter the values. This will open up a new window, you'll be able to use ctrl + v here as well to paste your image.

I hope I kept it simple.. I tend to write to much and make it complicated. Just ask if your in doubt.
