Problem with channels

Postby thestunt on Fri Sep 22, 2006 7:27 am

When I have any image open and click the channels pallete, my last 3 are not in grayscale. First one is normal(rgb) but my individual red, green and blue ch. are not greyscale. This happens all the time and its not from having more then 1 ch. selected at a time. I can have 1 ch selected say the blue ch only. The thumb nail is bright blue(not greyscale). This happenes for the 3 individual colors. Is there a setting that can fix this because it didnt always be like this. It is hard when cutting image out, cant tell contrast. Please help

Right. Go to Photoshop>Preferences>Display & Cursors and uncheck the "Color Channels in Color" box.

The menu setup may be different for a PC (I'm on a Mac), but you'll still find it in the Preferences section.
