I am building a webpage(first time) and facing problems with this logo which is originally an .eps file (designed by someone in CorelDraw). After saving it as a .gif file and exporting it to PS, I am trying to insert it as a gif image(save for web in Photoshop) onto a plain beige background, which is a webpage(html). It has a lot of jagged edges,
as well as there are tiny white dots that shine through, when seen as a preview in IE or Firefox.
The logo itself, when seen in Illustrator, looks perfect. I have tried inserting the .eps file as a .gif straight from Illustrator also, but with the same results.
Any suggestions what's happening and how to 'patch' those white dots and take those jagged edges away?
Any help is Highly Appreciated. PLEASE help.

Try converting it to a png instead of a gif.
