How to save picture . . . ?

Postby Mokke on Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:08 pm

I'm very hopeless in photoshop because i haven't used it much. I want to save a round picture, so that only the circle is visible. I don't know how to save a pic with out a (blanc) square/rectangle backround. I hope my meaning is clear . . . :(

It's easy (sorry reaper00 :P). First marque your piture (by using alt + a or using the rectangle marque tool) and copy it (by pressing ctrl + c).
Now, make a new file by pressing ctrl + n, set what ever size you need it to be (The size is already the size of the "copy", so you won't actually have to change it).
Now, before you hit ENTER, change the background to transparent... Hit ENTER :)
Paste your image by using ctrl +v. NOw, the tricky part:
Saving your image - BUT - instead of file>save as, use file>save for web>and save it as a .gif file
There you go :)
