Anteron - Worldmap

Postby Excruciating on Mon Mar 05, 2007 12:18 pm

So, this the worldmap for Anteron:
Image
Well.. to tell a little about it.
I started out drawing a basic map with some mountains on and those craters iin the middle (Yes, I realise that they are H U G E, they will be resized, but I can't be bothered right now). Then I scanned it and "simply" started brushing.
It's nt perfect, but i think it's rather succesfull.
Worktime: .. days..
Canvas: 4570 x 3163
File-size: Above 300 MB
Please leave a comment and a bit of critism.
It's still not quite done, so please let me know what you think should be changed.

Oh.. that's not the original size..
If I posted the original you'd be scrolling all over this place.
As I stated above, the original size is 4570 pixels x 3163 pixels.
The one you see above is 800x600. Want me to post a 1024x768 instead?

Thanks for all the kind words :)
it's nice to know that something you really put some effort in actually turned out good!
It's more of a blog.. the current website (This is not the game website, it's not coded yet) is http://www.ultimate-ownage.com/devteam/

Well, some detail about the game.
It's a medieval MMORPG. It's still in it's early stages so there's not much gameplay really written down or anything, we've just got a lot of ideas in our head atm and there's probally a lot of them that will never be realised but at least some will.
It's more reality based than other fantasy MMORPG's (I know of) and basicly you'll be able to own land and such in the long wrong. Become a "king" and defeat other "kings" to gain control over their territory and so on. I think one the things I'm going try and avoid is the whole "kill 8 creatures of theese and that and return to me". Avoid the whole 'power-level' thing.
That's about what I say.
We're only a handfull of developers so process is.. slow. If anyone is intersted in helping out or anything, you much welcome!
We basicly need anyone who can help us as long as they take the job serious and has 'some' talent.. I don't care if your good at photoshop or you just like to write stories for quests or what ever :D
