Hey guyz.
I'm new to this forum so pls help me.
i have a forum and i want that only the users which are registered on my forum be able to access a specific folder thru ftp of my ftp account.
how is tht possible....

It should be possible, tell us what kind of forum are you using: phpbb, vbulletin or something else

go to administration panel -> forum adnim -> permissions, select forum, hit "look up...", and then it is the best to go to advanced mode. I think you from here you could do it on your own, just set REG for registered users, or PRIVATE for some special groups of users

not that...
i mean supposing I have a file in my ftp..
lets say abc.exe.
in order to download that using a download manager or using a browser too requires a login to my forum...

Sry, i was reading your first post too fast.

You could use .htaccess, but then users would have to re-authethicate
