web buttons..

Postby Jakob Dworsky on Thu Apr 19, 2007 8:04 pm

Hi... I'm a beginner at building websites and is building one right now for a school project.. I am having trouble making buttons for it.. I am using rollover images for buttonsthat are basically just text and background colour.. the problem is that the text gets really fuzzy and the edges of the buttons get kinda blurry to and don't look smooth at all although it looks alright in photoshop.. to take a look at the problem visit:

It is the rollover buttons at the top of the page i'm talking about.. so anyone know why this happens and what i could do about it?

I am pretty sure this is because the original image and the rollover image aren't identical in size so the browser automatically resizes them resulting in this pixellation.

It could only have to be 1px out to create this effect.

Edit: I can confirm this. Your rollover pic is 5px bigger than the original. They need to be the same size.
