If anyone here has ever really sold a domain name, I'd like to know a little bit about how you sold it, what the domain name was, etc.

Some guy from Croatia registered www.srbija.com (this is how we Serbs spell our country's name). He hoped to sell it to our country for large sum of money, but we were never much interested in showing our country in good light.

I think that some guys made a lot of money from domains that carried the name of some big company. Those companies were forced to buy them back.

some people have bought websites when they heard leaked information like some guy from england bought a website called www.e3g.com or something and it was a new computer thing coming out,.... the company bought the website off him for a large sum, and thats all because he heard leeked information about what the product would be called from a random person.

If you are not sold a domain name than ,You can buy domains for as low as a dollar and then make some changes in it and then resell it for a higher price. You earn profits in between. Well I never purchase or sell any such.. But this thread is interesting, I would like to know more about it how to sell, How to earn money through this? And is it legal?

If you have bough the domain from a well know domain registrar you can push it to another account at that registrar after you have received the money in paypal.

Ya i had sold so ,by becoming a domain reseller with this site http://www.goresellers.com/ , got bulk domain registration here at cheap cost , when you do bulk registration here it make domain management easier too ,it cost you a little bit more for a reseller account , but you get to keep the clients to pay you . Two to three clients of yours on the reseller hosting account is enough to cover your cost. The rest is profit. This option is a lot like buying domain in bulk, and reselling at retail for huge profit.
