missing filters extract, liquify etc.

Postby dstephen on Wed Jun 13, 2007 2:33 pm

I have CS and have none of the really great filters like liquify or extract tools...can anyone recommend a freeware/shareware download that may have some of these? I don't want to spend the money to upgrade just for a couple filters that I would use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hmmm.... sounds like you need to re-install photoshop. These filters come with the program, and you shouldn't need any additional downloads to get them. If it is a pirated copy of PS, then it might be a bad copy.

Thanks...I thought I had an older version or I was losing it. I guess that could be the problem that I have a bad copy...it was on my mac when I got it. I thought it was just hidden or like I said, I had an older version that didn't have those options.

I'm not 100% sure (it's been a while) but i'm pretty sure i remember liquify as early as 6.0, and extract was either 7.0 or cs i think.

Of course if it came on your computer from the factory, i would say that it is probably photoshop elements, and that is a whole nuther ball park...

Definitely CS

It's definitely CS not elements or CS2...were the 6.0 and 7.0 before CS or versions OF CS?

yes the others were before cs. cs is technically version 8, and cs is version 9. They just decided to start packaging it into the 'Creative Suite' hence the new designations.
