Watermark in CS2

Postby adamsfour on Thu Aug 02, 2007 7:18 pm

Hi,
I am an absolute noob to CS2 and am struggling. I found instructions on how to create a watermark and use as a brush, but I am unable to select the Text layer to Edit-> Define Brush. It allows me to select the copright layer and when I put them both on the same layer, it doesn't allow me to select anything. The Define Brush option isnt an option when I have both the text of my website and the copyright symbol selected.

Any help would be appreciated. I already searched the forum and wasn't able to get help from previous posts.

Try this in photoshop... Open a photo use the type tool and a wide font like arial black. Go to the layer menu and choose Rasterize>Type. Next go to the filter menu and choose Stylize>Emboss you can play with the numbers but I set the angle at 135 hight 4 and amount 61%. Now on the layer palet pull down menu where it says normal change it to hard light. Thats it very easy. Make an action and you can do it in batch.

why would he need to emboss?
all you need to do is make the make the font layer your top layer and then merge down (ctrl E) or im sure theres some way to rasterize but merging down seems much easier and faster to me. then you should be able to make it a brush.
