Chanfuterboy, I don't know if color is a good argument considering the resolution of this picture and the fact that it is a jpeg. Plus, if the written was were real and the letters erased, it is likely the clone stamp would have been used which pulls colors from the image so the colors would match.
Personally I think the written one is real simply because I notice a smoothing on the right leg in the non-writing picture that is not present in the writing picture which leads me to believe a blur was placed on all areas of the skin.
They both look possible though.
