Postby s_hopkins on Tue Oct 16, 2007 2:33 am

hey everyone. im writing and animating a cartoon, still in the writing stage. and i have a question for you all.

is there any possible way to get the same look that you see here in the background (the soft retro painted look) without paitning the background.

i mean is there a way i can illustrate my backgrounds then filter with photoshop?

thank you for any help

you could paint in soft colors with ps, and for the lines you could use a brush that comes to a point at the end of your stroke.

theres probably some gigantic list of filters that could be applied to give a similar effect, I'd think something along the lines of drawing in a basic effect you want, and then some blurring of some sort, and i'm not really sure, experiment
