RAM for Vista

Postby Johnathan on Sun Nov 25, 2007 3:11 am

Hey could someone tell me I heard somewhere that Vista will only use 3gb of your RAM even if you have four or more. Anyone know if this is true? I want to get more RAM for my computer I have 2gb at the minute and was going to maybey get 4gb for christmas just don't my mum to get me it, if it's going to be no use.

When surfing and having a few programs running, my Vista averages about 1GB of memory use. I've never maxed my memory usage on my 2GB, and I've been working with some heave Photoshop images.

I think 2g is the max unless you get 64-bit. Not definately sure though.
