ive been wanting to do something like this for a while: is there a way to convert the connectors that go into drives and such into the dc plugs that go into all of the various equipment that we all use and love (ex: cd playes...and PSP ) for like.. mounting them onto the case?

DC... like in high voltage? õ_o

I mean, the original molex connectors that go into your harddrives et cetera, are only able to provide 5V, 7V and 12V (when not using any resistors in between).

well its just for charging purposes

Depending on the voltage you need for charging whatever, it can easily be done. If you're into casemodding, you know what to do

What would look best is using jack plugs. You could install them just so you would have a 5V, a 7V or a 12V connection. Check out their electronics articles as well, maybe you fins something useful. Check out those articles at Bit-Tech to see what I mean:
