Hello all i'm back. I recently purchased a 8GB iPod Nano that plays videos and stuff.
When I plug it into my computer using the little USB cord, it will connect and reconnect over and over again all by itself and wont charge or let me put music on it. I know its not the iPod because my computer did the same thing with my last iPod...any ideas?
thnx

Well I would call Apple if there was something wrong with the iPod but it's just my computer. It will recognize it when I first plug it in but then it acts like I keep unplugging and replugging it back in all by itself...and I dunno why?
Help lol

Call them becasue it should work it's probably something to do with iTunes or something they should be able to help you even if it idd your computer messing up. Of course you could email them too. http://search.info.apple.com/ look there and see if you can find anything about the problems your getting, i'm sure your not the only one it's happening to.

Alright I downloaded iTunes but it said "Bonjour Service" failed to start at the end of the downloading process. Whats up with that??
And I tried to use RealPlayer to put music on it. When I have it plugged into my computer and opened in RealPlayer it shows that it has music on it and a playlist. But when I unplug it and go to listen to my music it says "No Music".
I think I just need to go bitchslap the guy at the store.

That iTunes thing sounds odd.
Anyway, uninstall iTunes completely. Download (again) the latest version of iTunes onto you computer; making sure you have the correct version for your OS and Country. Do this with the iPod unplugged. After installing, re-boot. Open iTunes and connect the iPod.
If that still doesn't work, try and do the same on a different computer. If it works fine, its an issue with your PC. If it does the same thing obtain a new wire to connect the iPod the the PC with. Try using the wire on both PC's again. If the problem persists we now know its a faulty iPod. Call Apple or the store you purchased the iPod from, explain what you have done and they will then advise appropriately. This advice will most likely be to send the iPod off to Apple or return it to the store.
---
If you call apple first they will tell you to do that so you might as well do it beforehand. Sorry i can't be much help but at least theres a strategy for determining the problem and a step towards fixing it.

Yeah I went down to my buddys house and it did the same thing. So i'm thinking it's just the iPod....I just don't know why RealPlayer would say it has music on it but the iPod itself says there isn't.
But yeah I thought that iTunes thing was weird too. I've tried to download it about 4 times now and it keeps doing the same thing.
but it stays plugged in now and doesn't act like im unplugging it constantly lol

I just went and exchanged the one iPod I had, came home and tried to put songs in the new one, and it does the same exact fucking thing.
So I dunno whats going on, can anything think of why this would be happening?
