multi-card reader... this is the most bootleg thing ever.

Postby xskater on Fri Apr 01, 2005 11:01 am

ok so i ordered a multi-card reader/writer with usb 2.0 port on it. i put it in my extra floppy-drive slot (where it goes) and i hooked it all up to my motherboard. i turned the dam computer on and it did nothing but recognize that there was a new usb port (that works). i tried installing the drivers for it from the cd but there are no drivers... its just an installation cd. so i tried installing w/e it was and it said it wasnt hooked up. wtf?! it is hooked up; the lights are on, the usb port works (the other shit doesnt work, such as the card reader slots). i figured "hey i can just get the shit off the net!" so i look on the box for the brand name...... its not there. i opened the installation because its usually plasterd all over installation windws.....nothing. i even used a resource hack to open the installation file and it said "insert mother fucking company name here!!!!!!" (a paraphrased that a teensy bit). i looked up on google the exact name on the box "multi-card reader usb 2.0" (with the quotes) and found nothing but the dam REAL multicard readers that plug into the usb port. i still would rather have this crappy one, it doesnt waste a usb port, doesnt take ne extra space on my already cluttered desktop, and it doesnt work! whoo fucking hoo! am i screwwed or am i screwed?
