First fill a new document with the pictures you want to use. Make sure there are little or no gap between the pictures and keep in mind that this will be a repeating pattern, so try to make the pictures as random as possible, for best results use many pictures.
Do a Edit-Define Pattern, give it a name, and press OK.
In a new document do an Edit - Fill. If the fill is to big, undo the fill (ctrl+z) then go to image - image size, and change the resolution to a higher size, then press ok.
If done correctly it should look similar to below. I didn't use enough pictures so there is a definite pattern that is visible.
Then open your picture you want to see through, I picked one of my friends and I burning school books.
Move and resize your picture on a new layer above the collage layer.
Lower the opacity of the top layer until you think it is good enough. Then you have just created in minutes what malls and studios sell for hundreds of dollars, congratulations!
