Zend Certified Engineer

Is this worth anything? You only need to pass one exam, and Zend PHP 5 Certification Study Guide which has only about 280 pages doesn't seem large enough to include everything that php can do (or am I wrong about that?).

My opinion:

It is certainly not bad to be zend-certified. However I have never seen it to be required when reading the "job advertisements". I would say such a certificate is "nice to have" and why not get the certificate if you have the skills?

But to raise your value on the IT-job-market I would suggest to get an Oracle-certificate, Java-certificate, UNIX/LINUX-certificate before getting a PHP-certificate (simply by the facts of what I read in the job-market).
But then again... it always depends in which area you work.

How hard this zend-certificate is?
