flash element is causing a glitch on my site

Postby noncom on Mon May 19, 2008 5:22 pm

hi
first off...im VERY new to flash and html. i have a silly little swf movie on my site where eyeballs track the mouse, and i manipulated the overlapping and z-axis to put that movie behind all the rest of the content. the flash movie is a large field of white (or transparency...not sure) with a small illustrated element because from what i understand, the eyeball tracking effect only works in the confines of the flash window (ie it stops tracking when you go outside of that window)
here is the sidebar frame of my site:

http://www.nonverbal-communication.com/ ... debar.html

everything works alright...except that when you initially open the site, my logo and project/about/news/content etc rollover buttons are hidden. i can only assume the flash movie is causing some interruption. those buttons are there...if you mouse above the little guy, they show up, and work correctly...but this makes navigation very confusing. any ideas on how to fix this? thanks so much in advance!
