Need some help with blending

Postby LivingToDie on Sat Jun 07, 2008 1:26 am

Hello friends
I hav just recently started using PS and trying to learn different techniques. Here I was working on a picture to add some background and some color effects to make it look better but I am not able to properly blend the background with the foreground image.. It will be great if you guys can give some tips and suggestions on my work
Here is the image I used

Wow, that's already quite a nice piece.. ^^... Can't understand why you're not satisfied ?...
Even the colors are pretty will (which I assume you overlayed them?... )... Maybe a little bit to much vibration... But that's just subjective ^^...

TIP: To get rid of the white edges that remain, after cutting away the sky. Just set in the blending-mode of the layer a black inner glow. Blending: normal (in stead of soft light).. Adjust distance, choke, opacity till the white edges are gone... ^^...

Welcome on DEVPPL btw ...

I agree, the OP did a nice job of blending those images. But I'm even more impressed with the tip by Impulsive ;-) Wow, that's a great tip; thanks for sharing that one Impulsive!
