Hi all - just wanted to detail progress on the Worm 'gallery' and hosting...

I know I said I'd get it done this weekend but a client that I'm currently building a website for (after months of very little communication) suddenly decided they needed their site live ASAP, so I've had to put almost everything else on hold.

I have started working on it though, and anyone who wants to contribute could help me by designing the 'casing' for our little flash presenter. At the moment it looks like this:

Hopefully you get the general idea - click to scroll forward, click to scroll back, with a slight overlap at the edges. Anyone who wants to have a go at PS'ing the black frame is more than welcome :D

Only requirements are that the black frame has to be exactly THE SAME SIZE as in the sample - 75px all around. Hope somebody tries this - have fun with it! :)

You know I would be the first one trying out :p...
But I'm also in some sort of 'hold up' situation... exams/work/sleeeeeeping cause of the two first arguments :p....

I'll give it a try when I got rid of my priorities ^^

Nice work RachJM... Really appreciate it...

No probs, Impulsive. It's only there if someone wants to + has the time to have a crack at it.

I can easily upload it in black and we can change it later... :)

How come the surrounding pieces-of-worm in the preview seems highlighted?... You can see the edges from miles away ^^... :p

And yeah, would be nice you've upload it when you got a free moment...

Now, these days it seems like DEVPPL is in some sort of hibernation (but than in summer :p)... I hope it will get a bit more crouded out here soon ^^...

Sorry? I don't follow... Are you talking about the white semi-transparent edges to the left and right of the worm image?

If so then this is intentional - which will be why you can see it from miles away ;) Two reasons:
- To show where one image ends and the next begins (you will still get the feeling of continuity because the image will scroll from one segment to the next)
- To show the viewer where to click (where the 'edge' buttons are to move forward or back)

Don't you like this effect? I can change it if the general concensus is that you'd rather not have it there... Let's see what the others think... :)

Cool, I think it'd be better if you could see the seamlessness of it though.

Thanks for doing this

You're welcome :)

I think that the 'seamlessness' will be apparent when you scroll...?
Speaking of which -in copying and pasting these together I realised that none of them actually are seamless! What's up with that?

What should I do? Get rid of the white overlays on the edges? Or do you want to be able to view the whole thing at once? Because if so then the HTML version would be fine... :?

I like this concept with the scroll box ^^.. Keep it,

The white things doesn't matter ;)..

And about that seamlessness... It's our first worm ^^... We will improve... ; )
