Say 10 post or something before some one can post there own topic, this could either prompt the people coming here to contribute to threds to get there post count up, with more chance of them staying as they are communicating with people, or then again it could just become a spam fest, just another idea

The problem I have with this is it will just put people of becoming part of the group. I know personally I would not be part of it, as I came here to ask a question and it was because of the answer that I stuck around. Also it will prompt people to put meaningless posts like "cool" and "nice one".

Yeah, would be good to think of away to make people participate a bit more, hard to do it in away that doesn't push people away at the same time.

Yeah Flabbyrabbit is right. I too came here with one question (under a different name that I had since lost passwords and such and stopped caring for, then I returned as dflynn, all because that one question was answered.

It will definitely promote 1 word responses to posts that the user doesn't care about anyway.

Im sure there is a way out there to help people stick around but i think it is mostly them having multiple problems with quick and accurate responses. (Ofcourse we can't ALL be on ALL day.)

I suppose you could make it so you can't put in a one word response like it has to be more than a certain amount. And I wouldn't not like that, people would just go somewhere else instead of joining here.
