"tooltip" help

"tooltip" help

Postby mj93 on Wed Jul 16, 2008 11:44 pm

Hey everyone, im making a halo 3 clan site and i decided that i want to make it so that when a user hovers over text, their stats etc. will appear in an image. i was successful in finding a "tooltip" code that will let me do this
The code is too long so i put it in a .txt file to download

http://files.filefront.com/javapracticetxt/;11093530;/fileinfo.html

The doTooltip(event,#) reads info from the messages[#] column
what im having a problem with, is that it only reads up to messages 1-9. it will not do messages 10-53. How can i change it so that it can read more than one character?

I hope this wasnt too confusing to whoever is reading this
thanks for your time

Do you by chance have a link to where you got this tooltip.

Thanks for the link. Do you by chance have this page live? I'm paranoid on downloading scripts ;)

I've got the (original) code here, and works from 10 and beyond.

well i just set up a demo page you can view at:

http://nextvictim.110mb.com/

just to see if the code was working
but it seems like nothing is showing up now. not even the 1-9

//EDIT\\
hmm i just started the code over again with the original text etc. and it seems to be working fine after 10, like you stated before. so if you can't find a fix thats alright. maybe i can just restart and hopefully have better luck :P

Oh well, restart the code since it was working. Get back if you're still stumped.
