I've designed a white logo in illustrator and am trying to export it as an EPS file, everytime I export the logo it exports a white background with it, how to I export just the components of the logo so that the background is transparent?
Thanks

The actual background isn't white. It's still transparent. What are you doing with this EPS? Where do you see the white background? Are you bringing it into some layout program like Quark or Illustrator? I can explain better if I know what you're doing with it.

Thanks for the reply jayluebs, I see the white background when I import the EPS file into Indesign, when I change the background color of the object the color changes around the white rectangular background that seems to have been exported with my logo.

In image layout programs, the default view of imported images does not show the transparency. But that doesn't mean it's not there when you export it or print it. Try this: right-click on the image in InDesign, select Display Performance from the pop-up menu, and select High-Quality display. This should take away the background and show you the transparency. InDesign's default for previews is Typical, which doesn't show transparency, as that can take up memory and slow down the program. You can then switch it back to typical display if you wish. Hope this helps!
