Resolution in 1:10 large print file

Hello,

I have just joined the forum and wish to say hi to all Illustrator users.
Also I have a few questions as I am beginner in Illustrator.
I have to prepare a large file poster to print (2m x 1.5m / 78.5 in x 39.3 in). I have created the file in scale 1:10 and output resolution should be 1200ppi. I prepared image in Photoshop in scale with res. 1200 and placed into Illustrator.
1. How I can check output resolution while I export the file to PDF. I found in help, that image determine resolution, but how to check that.
2. I have some shadows. Should I use Document Raster Effect 1200ppi?

Can I ask why you are putting it into Illustrator?

Why don't you just print it from Photoshop?

I can't answer technicly for that question, becouse I am not an expert, but I always thought that when I can use vector graphics, keep it as long as its posible. Even after saving to PDF type stays as vector, but I might be wrong.
In my artwork there is some texts. That is way I have used Illustrator. I can set all the elements using numeric values (crop marks, guides. bleed etc) easier than in Photoshop. I don't know, never tryed to set final artwork in Photoshop really, unless that was only photo or graphics (bitmap).

Please correct me if I am wrong and any comments appreciated.

I see. Ok, yes you can change the document raster effects settings to 1200 dpi, and when you save as a PDF, choose the High Quality Print setting, and under compression, enter in 1200 dpi in all of the boxes.
