hi,
I am a novice also... smiling however...
I take it you want the white background to be transparent.... several tools to do this with.... such as magic wand , magic eraser, magnetic lasso, etc.....
for me possibly the magic eraser work well....
1. click the magic eraser
2. at the top,
a. set your tolerence to about 30, may need to play around with this number
b. anti-alias and contigious is checkmarked
3. then using your magic erase click on the white areas, this selects that specific color and then "del"
you should see a checkerboard pattern.. this means it trasparent
4. then you save as a png or transparent gif
note: some browsers will not recognize a transparent png... if you think this could be a problem then definitely save it as a transparent gif ....
that is just one way to do it..... the experts may have a better way for you.
