Table problems, not sure if this should be html or here

k so, if someone doesnt mind looking at my page in both firefox and IE, you should be able to see exactly what i'm talking about. In IE my tables are retardedly wide, don't know why, but everything looks great in firefox. also... the borders seem thicker in IE?

it might be just cause i have too many pieces of code changing the same thing, but i'm a nub and even if i have a pretty decent (for a coding noob) understanding of CSS and tables, i don't know what all i can do without w/o messing up my profile.

but yeah... as far as i know, the only code that i have that changes anything about my columns is this snippet:

.a {move left column}
object, embed,
table table table { width: 295; position:relative; top:0px; }
table table table table {position:static;}

.a {move right column}
td.text table { width:350px; position:relative; top:-55px; }
td.text object, td.text embed,
td.text table table {position:static;}

any help getting this stuff set up in IE would be dandy =]

Would it not make it look better if you just removed the boarders?? and also instead of using a - relative number just get rid of padding in your table.
