Im searching the web right now for this answer but figured i should post and maybe get a more solid answer...

I'm programming in ASP.net how far back in the visual basic series can i reference for code as far as version are concerned.... Can i use a visual basic 6.0 as a reference for syntax and the code in general?

Hi,

Most of the syntax in Visual Basic 7 and ASP.net scripting has been changed drastically. I recommend you to take a look at migration guide if you have been programming with VB6 for long time and just shifted to .NET

It is not the same except its name.
