JavaScript causing positioning problem?

JavaScript causing positioning problem?

Postby SkyNetworks on Mon Dec 01, 2008 10:41 pm

Hi folks,

Hoping one of you can help me please? I'm only starting to learn about JavaScript, and have included a basic script in this page, to insert the date:

http://www.lancechinnian.com/home/index.html

However, it seems to move the main picture (which is positioned using CSS) overs the date. I'm guessing it's the JavaScript that is causing this problem, as I've not used that particular script on any other pages, and they seem to position the main picture fine. Eg:

http://www.lancechinnian.com/television/news/itv/londontonight.html

But strangely, if you hit the refresh button repeatedly on the offedning page it occassionally corrects itself (although sometimes you have to refresh over 10 times). Any ideas?

Thanks,
Lance.

PS: Please don't laugh at my website. It's a bit of a muddle at the moment.

I couldn't see (exactly) the problem you're pointing.

Where will the image be positioned?

Could you capture a screenshot of the erroneous and correct page. That way, it'll be easy to understand.
