Saving image from channel

Postby Adampski on Wed Dec 17, 2008 6:29 pm

Hey there, i'm new!

I was wondering, I was editting a picture I took earlier on and I editted some lighting, contrasting etc and I based it around the channel colour Blue, and i think it looks just the way I want it when i look at it in the Blue Channel. But everytime I go to save it, it doesn't save the same way it looks in the blue channel, it saves as if the channel were set to RGB.

A lil help please?

Hi Adampski,

I'm not sure I understand your question but it sounds like you're trying to save just your edited blue channel? If that's the case, click on the blue channel to highlight it then choose "Select > Select All" from the menu bar. Now, copy it to the clipboard (Edit > Copy) and de-select. Next, go back to your Layer's palette and choose "Edit > Paste", that will put a copy of your blue channel at the top of the layer stack. You can then save the file (as is or flattened).
