animation in photoshop!!!

after I make an animation in Photoshop and put it in Dreamweaver how come i cant get it to animate?

do I need to import it to Dreamweaver instead of inserting as an image?

what is the file type? There are many times that you will make something animated and throw it into dreamweaver, but you won't see it animating until you view it as a web page. I believe this is true for both gif and flash files.

also, you should be making a folder for your images when you create a new site in dreamweaver and then make sure you upload both your html page AND your images when you want them to go online. I sometimes to forget to upload the images when I'm testing

Remember to save the picture as an optimated .gif or whatever file type you're using. You can't simply click "Save as" and select .gif
