how do i achieve this effect on photoshop

Hi All,

Can anyone help me achieve the effect shown below:


I've been struggling with this for a while as a beginner and I'm sure it is pretty straight forward on Adobe.

Any help is appreciated.

Use the cut out filter. Not sure which menu it's under though. Just have a look.

There may be other ways to get that effect but it was probably done using the Cutout filter (Filter>Artistic>Cutout) as Johnathan has mentioned. Go to the Planet Photoshop website at: http://www.planetphotoshop.com/ and watch the "Stylized Comic Book Effect" tutorial (right side of window under Tutorials). That should be helpful.
