New to photoshop

Hi

I have been playing around with photoshop, seems like soo many amazing affects you can create but i dont know really where to start.. Does anyone know of a good tutorial that shows all the different things you can do, not just one so i have an idea on what can be acheieved. I dont mind if i even have to buy one I just want to make sure I get something worth while Thanks in advance for your help

Check out the podcast "Photoshop User TV" That's where I started. Any the main guy on that show is Scott Kelby. He has all sort of online Kelby training and a few books out there too. Best way to learn is to jump in there and try things. Best of luck.

i started just randomly doing the tutorials on this site they teach you the basics to get used to the tools after you done the tutorial try adding that tutorial to somthing you are creating

example:

one of the first tutorials i did was a glass ball on a news paper after i completed the tutorial i added that tutorial on a sig i made
i used the glass ball over a image of the earth and it really made it pop made the sig really stand out here it is here.

myself there no single tutorial or website that can show you everything.... however there are many good sites either with graphics/text tutorials or video tutorials....

a good video tutorials site is this one
http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/?page=3 one of the things I like about this one is you can save the tutorial to your website... this tutorial from pixal shows the different ways to change color!!

now this site, text with graphics, what i like about it is that it covers all the basic tools and techniques, and the tutorials are nice and sweet and short .... now it in reference in doing things with cars but it applicable to anything you do with photoshop ...

what you might want to do.... is search for a specific tutorial.... and pick the one you like best... generally the search criterias i use.. is something like PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL GLASS BALL or PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL FLAMES , PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL COLORIZE PHOTO , etc etc....
