HTML e-mail form response data

HTML e-mail form response data

Postby naschas on Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:00 am

Good day all,

I am a first time poster and need some help. I have written a form that I want to send to clients to complete b email. The problem I have is that when they hit the submit button, the form generates an email with the results which is then e-mailed back to me to process. The results are in one long string, I need to know how to sort or filter these results. I would like either to have the results sorted straight in the HTML coding so that I receive the results sorted, or to have some kind of a program that I can input the data and it sorts it for me.

Thanks to all in advance.

Are you using PHP in your processing?

You can set the headers Content-type to text/html.

No, im not using PHP, my service provider charges extra money for it and I dont have the kind of traffic to justify it.

I am not so clued up on all this, will changing the content type force it to sort the results one underneath the other?

If you'll change your content-type to html, then it will give you the advantage to style your mail just as you style your HTML.
