Need help on arranging layout

hey new to html but trying to learn. I have done this so far but cant get the layout to work in any way.

Ave attached a file with the html file and a quick drawing of how i wanted it to look.

Any help and explanation would be appreciated

Here ya go i redone it in Divs and css its much easier to edit and code that way ive added the doctype ya was missing it all validates and works in all browsers

the reason it wasnt working out for ya is because ya was using tables and you added tables that should have been tds this is why divs are much better. look it over in notepad and do a little reading on divs ya will understand it then, the css file controls the way the divs look if ya want to change sizes colors and so on you do that with the css file called mystyle.css, you can also change it up so the font colors and sizes and so on are done with the css file but thats up to you.

its not perfect as its just a rush job but it is close to what ya wanted and it validates wich means it should work in any browser.

thtas brilliant thanks for the help, never tried css or anything but will have a go cheers for taking the time!

Also how can you get it to fit the screen regardless what size?

Hi there it will adjust its self for all screen resolutions you can also choose the size of the divs in the mystyle.css so you can have it a set size in the center of the screen
