Help with Clipping Path

Postby digitalmaniac on Thu Apr 09, 2009 4:40 am

Hi All,

I have drawn a path and converted it to a clipping path. When I bring my file into Illustrator, I am getting the inverse selection. The background appears instead of the image I pathed around....and it's driving me crazy!

Is this a settings issue? When I do a selection using the path I drew, I am also getting the inverse selection (all the background that I dont want is selected instead)

How do I reverse the selection?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure but you may have the wrong button selected in the options bar when using the Pen tool. On the right side of the options bar there are four buttons; make sure you're using the first one (add to path area). If you have the second one (subtract from path area) selected instead, your selections will be inversed.

Hope this helps.
