Online updating/editing?

Hi, I'm KINDA new to the websitecreating, I've made a decent lookin website, however it's goat a pretty amateurish structure. What I mean is tht I'm really good with the graphics, and REALLY want to learn the more basic techiques of webdesign. What I'm particularily interested in learning, is how to create websites where you can edit the text directly on the web. And since I don't have a clue on where to even start, I'm asking you guys here for help, a good tutorial or a site with info about the necessary script (or whatever I need)

First thing you'll need to do is start learning PHP. Once you've got a handle on that, learn MySQL and learn how to make them work together. There are hundreds of tutorials, just Google them.

Then it is essentially a matter of making a password protected administrator folder on your server so that only you can access it. Next, you need to make a pages with a couple Input boxes and a textarea and I would suggest learning how to incorporate TinyMCE into the textarea.
You'll end up with a professional looking Rich Text Editor, that when you submit the form you can save it to a database. Then your site will have to pull information from the same database you're saving to so your readers can see it.
