new window

Hello all can anybody tell me if i can open a new window of same photo i already have open. I want to use it to view my retouching. I hope I explaned this right. Im using cs3

Hi,

You can select all(on original picture), then edit copy. Now file new, give it a new name. This will give you a new window with same photo.

hi,
now i have just cs1... but i think it the same with the other cs versions you can't unless you have 2 image but different files names...

if you need a to have a seperate window to show the orginal then make a copy and give it a different name or if yu have the orginal layers just copy that layer onto a new canvas...

now what i do..

now i always make a duplicate layer ...and from that i make all my adjustments and such

and to quickly view i use alt+click on the eye of the original to toggle back and forth from the original backgound layer and the other layers..
