Save file in PNG format after import from pdf.

Postby Bergarn on Thu May 21, 2009 12:49 pm

Hi!

Im doing a poster in powerpoint for a presentation and i needed a picture from a program i have.
To get the picture to photoshop i needed to:
1. copy to MS office onenote
2. copy to MS office word
3. save as a pdf
4. import to photoshop.

I cut out the picture to get rid of the background and inserted a layer. Now i want to save as a png file to get rid of the annoying white background when exporting the picture to powerpoint. Though i can't save as a png file for some reason. Does anyone know why, and if i can do it in some other way? Im using photoshop 7

pls help fast, doing the pressentation soon.

hi,
now i have cs 1 but it should be ver similar... to ps7 ...

1. make sure when in ps , before saving you see that checkboard background, that indicates that the background is trnsparent.. now if it not then you need either put in a transparent layer or or turn off maybe the orginal layer... note: i don't know how you setup layers... but youget the picture..
this link give you an idea what i am saying better than my words... plus it for ps 7 ....

2. for me when i save png the default is using the tanspancy channel how ever if different mine, instead of a normal save as.... go to menu and do a save for the web... and choose png.... in this window make sure the transparency box is checked...
this link shows what the windows look like
