Gradient problem - PMS 327 going through to white

Postby UccaDj on Thu Jun 11, 2009 3:55 am

Hi all
I am having a probelm with a business card I am creating!
Using the gradient in photoshop I have a stepping issue. The gradient finishes midway through the centre of the card very abrupty and I want this to smoothern out gradually into the white area.
All help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should check a couple things:
1) Make sure that you do not have an unseen selection

2) Check both the blend mode of the layer and of the Gradient fill itself (tool properties at the top depending on your version of Photoshop)

3) Make sure you are working in 8 bit RGB color (image > mode > RGB)

It also may help if you post the image itself so that we can see exactly what you mean.

If nothing else works try creating a new document, that tends to fix these things.
