[Request] Website Banner

Postby StrYkeR on Thu Jun 18, 2009 12:35 am

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to create a website banner for me, with dimensions W800xH120.

The way it might look, Background black or dark gray, with dark foreground colors. Nice looking textures and maybe some transparency to it.

Centered text with the name "Michael Jamieson" in any cool looking font with a smaller text below with the words "My Personal Website"

And at the bottom i would like it to have some sort of textured(maybe 10-20 pixels) of a bar to separate the banner from my navigation bar.

If that's not too much to ask, I would appreciate it very much. Else I will just have to scribble up one myself :P (I'm really bad with gimp/photoshop)

Is this somewhere close to what you had in mind?

Just tell me what you want changed and i'll do it :D This is what i would call a template, not a finished job!

Its actually really good. I would change the font little too plain :D, something like http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/SAWesome.htm that maybe?

and also the background could use a little more texture. other then that you got the color scheme perfect. that would match my site great.

Hi

I really like what you are doing here, looks good.

What I personally would do is, lighten the greyscale in the background, as this will make the font stand out more.

All the best, Tiff

Glued and cut, how's this?

And great tip Tiff, it does look better with a lighter background!

I apologize for the late response I've been working all day.

And it looks AMAZING I really appreciate this. Would hate to ask for anything else, though its not really a problem, just more of an annoyance :P if it would be possible to center the text a little bit more. other then that, its perfect.

Edit:
Just the name part, don't center the "my personal website" part :D
