Remove glare from paint?

Postby NDfootballCH on Fri Sep 04, 2009 9:47 pm

I am trying to photoshop my car.... how do I remove the glare from the paint? There are reflections on the paint and windows from stuff around me, and all I want is a clean paintjob and stuff....

any directions, or fixes for me are appreciated.

thanks, guys!

Very possible but lots of work on that one,When I'm chopping cars I always look for the least reflection work, This has to much,I would pass on this one and say get another picture without so much reflection, This is possible but I believe you'll loss the crisp look that it has now.

I gave it a go and to remove the green and house reflection it is near nerve wreaking, short of repainting the car(very tough to maintain lighting as is) or working on it pixel by pixel,Take another photo, save yourself a headache .........I do cars all the time and this is a considerable about of time to get the results your looking for Sorry I couldn't spend the time needed.."Take another photo"or repaint this one.IMO Nice car BTW my wife drives the same one, color and everything

hi ndfootbal,
that is a very difficult image for me, all those reflections.

had a hard time seeing where the subtle corners on the hood located
and also could n't see inside to see enough details...

i was think if you had other shots that showed the front hood and the insde much
better... and the dashboard... you could then patch elements on the main image and from
and adjust perspective to blend in..

If you don't want to take another picture with less reflections, you could always try making a new layer above the picture, changing it's layer style to Color, using the Eyedropper to select the most prominent color on the car, and then using the Brush tool at a fairly high opacity to paint over the reflections. This wouldn't make them go away, but it would make them blend with the car a loooot better ;)
