urgent help needed with half done work!!!

Hello

I have heard about devppl from a friend, and have come to know that there are many professional friendly designer residing here who are always willing to help out others.

I actually need help in completing the front cover of my annual university magazine called “Interface”

The cover has been almost completed, but I needed some help in it. I have attached what the cover looks like and have attached the link to download the .psd for the cover so that you can edit it.


The things I was wondering that could be added to the cover were:

1. a bit retro ness in it might be a good idea
2. something to be done of the big blue sky above, may be adding some clouds,anything
3. something to be done about the ground

these are only the ideas I have and are not compulsory … u are better designer and can use your own imagination to make it better.

What is "retro ness"
"something to be done about the ground"
the grass area, or the blank area? the blank area is more than just the ground

by retro ness i mean that if you could add some retro effect in it like http://psdlearning.com/2009/05/top-10-retro-tutorials/

and if you can download the psd you will be able to remove the white space...and the ground will extend a bit...if you could do something with the ground that would help a lot

hi idad,
just a note... on retro.. i am not sure if the link he gave displayed what he means...
but retro.. but to me.. actually refers to a type of style... at various time periods.
for example.. there in the 30's you had a lot deco and pastel colors involved...
there in the 60's and 70's you had a lot of pop art ...

definitely what popular is the old movie poster style... like your movie posters and such..

but been racking my brains on wht kind of retro he was looking for.... but haven't
come up with any good ideas.. not even quite sure what the theme is or the kind of magazine.
anyway ...
