Hi all, desperately need some help. As per title really. Have just developed a problem whereby any path I draw, when I go to select it, Photoshop inverts the selection. I've looked everywhere for an option to switch it off but to no avail.
Ideas anyone? I'm halfway through a job and it's really slowing me down!

With the path tool selected, take a look at the options bar. On the right side you'll see four squares. The first one (on the left) is "Add to path area" and the second one is "Subtract from path area". You probably have the second one selected instead of the first one when you create your path; that will reverse the path selections. If that turns out to be the problem, just click the first square before making your path. You can also just hit the + or - keys to switch back and forth.
Hope this helps.

Thanks artd, got desperate and ended up re-installing instead, which did the trick. Sledghammer to crack a walnut? Probably!
