Photoshop Scripts

Postby daven on Wed Oct 07, 2009 12:03 am

Hi,

I have 227 PSDs all containing a text layer titled
version
.

I need to change the current information (xx) to an updated version number in each of the PSDs (zz).

Is there a script for either Photoshop or Adobe Bridge that will find and replace the older text/layer with the newer one?

Much appreciated,
-Dave

You can do this with an action (as long as all the files have the same version number):
Record
1 Select the Version xx layer
2 Right-click, then 'Duplicate'
3 In the dialog box enter As: Version yy
4 Select the version xx layer again
5 Right-click, Delete
6 Save As
7 Close

You can run this from Bridge or from File>Automate>Batch.
