Well, I have been hearing alot about the game for a long time. Everyone telling me its a great game so I had to check it out for myself. I bought the game and it was on a single DVD (quite a huge game I must say). It takes 3.14 GB on the HDD so save up some space if you planning on getting the game.
The graphics of the game on the other hand are amazing to be a stagedy game. Pretty much load on the computer too. But if you manage to run it, its alot of fun. I guarantee it.
Out of my spectations I thought it was a mixture of Age of Empires, Warcraft III and somewhat of Diablo II. All of the games are stragedy and are the very best within the game category so they really make a hit in this game. All of the fun parts from each game stuffed into LOTR, makes it a master piece. Really!
While playing the game you follow the story of the movies. You get to play as all the heros (Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli etc...), you have to defend Helms Deep against the HUGE forces of the Orcs, you have to help Sam & Frodo get to Mt. Doom and alot more exciting things that makes the game more than fun playing.
Not only that ! There is more to it. Unlike all other games where you are the hero and have to save earth against disasters, this game is different. You are not in a very positive mood? Alright. Lets play the evil side. You can play Saruman, Gholum, Lurtz and many other followers of Saraon. You objective (of course) is to get the ring back from Frodo.
While you play the game you get to live the world of J.J.R. Tolkien like you coldnt in the movie. This game is not only for the LOTR lovers, but everyone who even slightly likes stragedy games. You'll love it!

but it is a good game. funny when your horse men run through the enemies foot soldiers...
