hi,
just a novice myself but they way yo discribe what you want..
how about using the
SLICE tool? not expeirenced with it I just know the basics however ...
you may want to experiment on another file to determine that will do
what you want before trying to use it on your main file .. it fairly quick to do...
but the slice tool, the way i do it..lol... i choose slice
draw my main box
then i do a right click and click divide, here i can adjust the number of boxes slice and/or sizes
of my slices .... t0 fixed sizes and even sizes if required...
and theni can go to the file menu click save for the web....
this will save all the slices into individual files....
this is a basic tutorials
http://simplephotoshop.com/photoshop_to ... _toolf.htm there a ton of tutorials on the subject..

I've applied a grid to a large poster in CS3 that seperates it into 9 A4-sized boxes. Is it possible to split the image into these 9 pieces (9 seperate image files) automatically? I've searched online and not found anything so this is a last resort and I apologise if this is common knowledge or anything.
Obviously I know of the long, tedious ways of doing it manually (copying the boxes and pasting into new files) but the 9 images need to align perfectly when put back together and I'm working on a huge file so I don't want to risk messing it up by doing it myself.
Thanks for any advice,
Paul
