Shape in photoshop

I would like to achieve something like this:

However, the shape seems hard to draw any ideas where I can find a similar shape to download or any suggestions

that shape is pretty cool
try a search of geometric patterns, brushes or shapes............maybe?

hi,
i wish i knew for sure what they called that... keep in mind i am not skilled with ps but been trying to figure out how they did it...

i have come with a way.... with something similar... it very rough and poor..lol but someone more skillfull can do a lot better...

1. create starburst ....
2. then create coencentric cirlce, i put in about 5..... maybe more better
3. i had to merge the layers at this point.....
4. this is where i did a lot of experimentation.... if youhave cs2 or above youcould probably use the warp tool myself i only cs1 which doesn't have it...
a. at this point i used the perspective and rotating and distor to get something similar.....

now another idea i had... was take a 3d ball... and then create checkboard pattern and the wrapt that patter around the ball .. again you have cs2 or above i think th warp tool would work fine...

any way those are idea i had....

I bet it's all Pen Tool work...the top of the "circle" bulges out a few times, so it's not really a standard shape. If you have knowledge of the pen tool you could make this: it would take a bit of time to get everything symmetrical, but I bet that's what the designer of this brochure did.

Really cool design, by the way.
