Problem printing

Postby quazzi on Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:19 pm

My first post :) I'm having a problem with the background of some images i edited on photoshop. In the computer screen all seems well, but when i print them (and i tried several printers) some of images get a yellowish background wich ruins the cleanness of the image. For example, the image that says Portugal in the second page of the fourth spread, has that kind of problem while the others are ok. I know it's not my screen that's not calibrized because i already saw the images in other computers and it all seems fine.

Any tips?

hi,
hopefully someone better than me comes along...
but maybe i can give yo direction t look at....

1. to begin with when color printing involved with the monitor... it genrally always about
calibrating the montor withyour printing out put....

2. with that said.... ps shop color managment come to mind...!!

now only do you set for you monitor the color managment but when printing
that becomes a factor.... normally make sure your setup for srgb...
and when printing go to "print with preview" here you can setup if yo want
to use the printer profile or one of the numberious other profiles that listed....

for my printer i use source... and lucky that that works out.. smiling.. with another printer
it may not....

there a lot of info aboutphotoshop printing.. too numbersious t list...

this search results has numberious article on it you might be interested in the first one..

I've been using Shutterfly. They are good and fast. I'm just wondering if there's a better, more accurate photo printing service for the same price range.I saw some good testimonials for Mpix. I see very mixed reviews for York Photo. They either rock or suck, with no middle ground.

Hello Janessa,

Quality of people-photographs is poor-to-fair. Skin tones are slightly better (warmer) than Shutterfly's, but they they are sometimes too orange, and are consistently over-exposed.
Shopping Cart tool does NOT display image file names when ordering sizes and quantities.
They do NOT print image file names on the rear of each print.
They cannot provide customers with ICC profiles.

Thanks,
Bob Walsh
